About Danny

My name is Danny Jones, and this is a little about my experience and why I became a driving Instructor (ADI).

Learning to drive can be quite a daunting thing for many people and selecting the person you wish to teach you is often clouded in price, car and availability.

I felt it might be nice to explain a little about me, why I wanted to teach people to drive and what makes this such a great job for me personally.

Don’t worry I won’t go back to far but when I first left school many years ago, I trained to become a farmer.

Having grown up on a farm and having first sat behind a wheel of a tractor from around the age of 6 my passion was always driving.

I took every driving assessment I could whilst at farming college and then for a short time with JCB.  These included self-propelled motor vehicles, trailers, weighted applications, bulk tankers, spraying machines, Combine Harvesters, articulated equipment, tracked equipment, specialist heavy machinery and so on…

Indeed, I achieved so many variations of machinery assessment, I was asked to teach students in years below me some of the training I had received – my first real venture into driving tuition.

In 2017 I lost a very close relative to a Road Traffic Accident and undertook the role of family liaison to the Police through the legal process. This gave me great insight into the accident, particularly the cause and highlighted basic driving principles were missed by the driver.

As my father had been a driving instructor during his second career after leaving the Police Force, I decided to follow in his footsteps and hopefully one day emulate his great driving record, but also to try and instil in new drivers the real importance of following Safe procedures to avoid the consequences of Bad Driving.

My own Journey with driving has been the largest skill continuation in my life, it has been at the core of every activity I have ever done and in a very positive way. I wanted to capture that positivity and help people to learn to Drive.

My experience to date has been fantastic, meeting lovely people who become friends over time, guide them through the process and provide the support and education needed for them to gain the skills they need to Drive safely into the future.

I try to make my lessons, fun, entertaining and rewarding all in a safe way. I am very happy with my results and the genuine positive feedback I get back from Students.

Thank you for reading this far, I look forward to working with you in the future,

Safe Driving – Dan
